Automotive industry
You might be wondering how my journey in the automotive industry began. As a kid, I was fascinated by shows like Orange County Choppers and Wheeler Dealers on the Discovery Channel. Watching those builds and restorations sparked a passion in me—I knew that one day, I wanted to be part of that world, whether as a builder or a repair technician.
For over a decade, I had a stable career in the TV and IT industry, but the desire to work with cars never faded. That stability gave me the opportunity to return to school and formally educate myself—first as an automotive electrician, then as a fully qualified automotive technician.
I decided to specialize in BMWs, working extensively on both older E-series and newer F-series models, handling everything from mechanical repairs to complex electrical diagnostics. Some of my proudest projects involved swapping the legendary S54 engine into chassis that were never originally designed for it—I'll share the details of those builds in a later post.
But it wasn’t just BMWs. Over the years, I worked on numerous VAG Group cars and even had the chance to work on a Ferrari. I also gained experience in tuning and remapping ECUs, working with platforms like EDC15, EDC16, EDC17, and ME(V/D).
I've always been eager to learn, constantly pushing myself to absorb as much knowledge as possible. The automotive world is ever-evolving, and staying ahead means never stopping the learning process.
