The beginning
Back in 2010, a friend approached me with an exciting opportunity—helping develop a website for a TV channel. Little did I know that this would mark the beginning of my professional career as a Webmaster and Web developer. The channel, called Music Channel, focused on delivering a wide variety of music content to viewers. As our team grew and our ambitions expanded, we launched a second channel, H!T Music, which catered to fans of retro-themed music, bringing classic hits back to life.
Our hard work and dedication paid off. Over time, Music Channel gained significant traction, and we even managed to surpass MTV Hungary in live broadcast viewership—a milestone that truly cemented our success. We were also pioneers in the industry, being the first to offer a 24/7 HD online stream at a time when high-definition streaming was still a novelty.
One of my proudest achievements during my time there was developing an innovative music scheduling software tailored for our TV channels. The software was web-based and highly automated, allowing content to be scheduled based on specific criteria set by the user. This meant that my colleagues could manage programming remotely, reducing the need for constant on-site work and making the entire operation more efficient.
Beyond maintaining and expanding the TV channel’s digital presence, I worked on several exciting projects. I developed Android-based applications, created interactive Facebook Page applications, and built voting platforms for the Romanian Music Awards, enhancing viewer engagement and participation.
My time at Music Channel was more than just a job—it was an incredible learning experience that shaped my career and allowed me to work at the forefront of digital media innovation.
